October weekend trainings
Dear parents and children,
we would like to inform you that in October we will continue with our intensive weekend training, namely 11-12 October!
The weekend training sessions proved to be a great success last year and one of the key reasons why our participants progressed faster than their competitors and consequently achieved better results. New features, benefits and improvements in the programme
This year, we've upgraded the programme to make sure the kids get the most out of the training. The main innovations are:
- smaller and more homogeneous groups, allowing for the best quality training and more individual support,
- a more structured programme with clear objectives, allowing children to progress faster and be more motivated,
- an even better programme, put together in collaboration with Grandmaster Matej Šebenik and International Master Toni Kos,
- better quality of materials and programmes, designed in line with the most modern chess training guidelines,
- psychological preparation in chess, facing challenging situations and learning how to calm down in them,
- creating a pleasant environment where children stay motivated and happy to play,
• participants of our chess school have free entry to regular club tournaments, which will take place every Monday from 17:00 to 20:00 (twice monthly fast-track and twice monthly fast-track); and every Friday from 17:00 to 20:00 (Chess960 and other alternative forms: King of the Hill, Changeling/BabyChess, 3 checks, etc.),
- and much more!
Applications
For those who have already registered your child for the programme and paid the fees, don't worry - your child is already guaranteed a place in the group.
For everyone else, a friendly reminder that places are filling up fast and you can apply now:
to the e-mail address sola@sah-ljubljana.si
via online form (please note in the message that you are registering for the Intensive Weekend Training).
Our coaches will review the applications and inform you which group your child has been placed in. We will take into account the following age and knowledge, the aim is to create as homogeneous groups as possible, allowing optimal conditions for progress.
Long-term vision
Intensive weekend training sessions will be held throughout the year, led by our teachers, with occasional lectures by Grandmaster Matej Šebenik. Combined with our weekly chess school, they represent an elite chess education unlike any other in Slovenia.
Our vision is to ensure that this programme provides conditions comparable to those enjoyed by young people in the countries that today represent the world's greatest chess superpowers.
Of course, there's room in the groups for for everyone - for future grandmasters as well as for those who simply love chess and for whom weekly training is not enough or is more convenient for them.
