Applications for Chess School 2025/26 are now open! 

We are pleased to announce that we have opened applications for the Ljubljana Chess Club's Junior Chess School for the upcoming school year 2025/26!

Location - Ljubljana - Litostrojska cesta 58c

This year, we are starting a new chapter - we have expanded our programmes and strengthened them in terms of content and staff. The head of the school will be a Grand Master Matej Šebenik, together with the International Master Toni Kos will bring their extensive experience to ensure high-quality, planned and modern teaching.

We would like to highlight two new groups in particular:

• Chess room for children aged 4 and up, where they will take their first steps into the world of chess in a playful and fun way.
• Senior Citizens Programme under the leadership of Dr. Jane Krivec, grand champion, multiple national champion and long-time national player, who will be there to teach and enjoy the company.

Start of training and accompanying events

• Start exercising in the week of 15 to 19 September.
• Opening Youth Tournament »The Dragon Awakens« will take place in Saturday, 13 September - more information on our website.
• Senior Citizens' Open Day: Tuesday, 24 September at 10:00 in the club's new premises.
• First school term for seniors: Tuesday, 1 October at 10:00, also in the new club premises.
